Young Artist Workshop

Fuzzy Monsters! Create spooky little furballs for your Halloween decor!

Kids will get hands-on with faux fur yarn, googly eyes, gems, foam, and more to weave and build their own silly, spooky, or adorable monster friends! No experience needed—our team will guide them step by step. Perfect for creative minds, family bonding, and a fun Halloween-season craft.

Young Artist Workshops are free art activities for children ages 3-17 (must be accompanied by an adult guardian). Participants can come to a YAW any time between 12 and 4 pm. Workshops at Elyze Clifford Interpretive Center (located within Prime Desert Woodland Preserve) are every third Sunday of the month. Art activities take about 10-30 minutes to make; seating and supplies are first-come, first-serve. Participants create artwork from start to finish, with all the supplies and guidance provided by MOAH staff. Each YAW is unique and introduces children to a variety of art techniques, materials, and processes.
