What should we bring with us for the Foray?

Accepted Answer

The intended trail is easy, so sneakers with tread will be fine. You may also want to bring water, a cell phone/camera, bug spray, a snack, and an easy-to-carry bag/backpack.

Question 2

Are there risks to woodland hiking?

Accepted Answer

As always, when hiking you do so at your own risk and Winding Brook Farms - mushrooms and more is not liable for injury, snake bite, or illness.   You will be asked to sign a “hold harmless” waiver at the beginning of the afternoon's adventure.

What ages are recommended for this adventure?

Young Enthusiasts (12+) Mature Enthusiasts (18+)  Seasoned Enthusiasts (55+)

Question 4

Is there a weather and/or cancelation refund policy?

Accepted Answer

The foray is held outside and will only be canceled due to severe weather. We also understand that sometimes "life happens" and you might not be able to attend. Any fees collected can be applied to future events.  At this time, we do not offer refunds.

Question 5

Can my dog(s) attend?

Our dog pals will need to stay at home. If you are interested in participating in a foray that includes dogs, let us know! We would love to arrange a "best buddy" dog foray event. Email us at windingbrookfarms@gmail.com
