Funders in Action for Indigenous Philanthropy- IFIP Funders Dialogue
Overview
At a pivotal moment for global philanthropy, the 2026 IFIP Funders Dialogue brings together invited funders for a focused, high-trust space to advance Indigenous-led, values-based philanthropy. Indigenous Peoples are leading solutions in climate, biodiversity, and justice—yet remain critically underfunded. This Dialogue responds by convening funders to reflect on progress since 2020, examine the impacts of shrinking and shifting resources, and co-create collective strategies for long-term, accountable support. Over three immersive days in Mexico City, participants will strengthen peer networks, engage with new evidence, and commit to embedding the 5Rs—Respect, Responsibility, Relationship, Reciprocity, and Redistribution—into funding practice. Designed as a meeting of hearts and minds, the Dialogue aims to catalyze shared responsibility, solidarity, and lasting systems change.
