Sandia National Laboratories will present a 1-day version of its “Energy Assurance and Advanced Microgrid Conceptual Design Course” to provide basic training on energy assurance and advanced microgrid design. The course includes background information, technical discussion, and working example problems. The workshop will present specific examples related to the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The course is informed by microgrid research, development, and demonstration work funded by the Department of Energy and Department of Defense. This workshop is hosted by Sandia and the Caribbean Green Technology Center at the University of the Virgin Islands, and funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency through the Department of Energy’s Energy Transition Initiative.
