Create FUN & interactive Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) with sculptural elements inspired by cacti and Alexander Calder.

Supply List:

Base material: thin cardboard (ie. cereal/cracker/tissue box packaging) or 90wt watercolor paper
Assorted papers (gel plate prints, painted papers, wallpaper samples, magazine pages, security envelopes, book papers, scrapbooking paper) with these colors in mind:

-Cacti: greens, flower pot base, and pink or yellow for the flowers

-Calder sculptures : 4 contrasting colors ie. yellow, red, black & white, and blue

sharp paper scissors
glue adhesive--I recommend Reptile Craft Adhesive as it sets quickly and dries clear. Pro Tip: fill a 30mL bottle equipped with a metal needle tip for easy glue application.

Optional Tools:

bone folder (can also use the back of a butter knife)
brayer tool
One or more paper punches for cacti flowers: 5/8" scallop circle, 5/8" circle punch, or small hearts for cacti flowers
Assorted markers/paint pens/pens to embellish the cacti

Important Information:

This is a Live, online class. The session will be recorded and participants will have 1-week access to watch the recording. Participants may take photos/screenshots of the demos for their own personal use.
This online workshop is open only to those who have registered and paid for the workshop. If you wish to have a friend or family member join you, be sure that all parties have registered and please let the instructor know of this arrangement in advance.
The Zoom link and link to a class Padlet page (which will include all the class resources: templates, links, examples, tools, and materials) will be emailed to address used to register 3-4 days before the workshop begins.
