Fully Committed - A One Man Play
Overview
Fully Committed - A Showcase starring Jake Shipley and Directed by Michael Koegel
Join us for an evening to witness the glamorous life of a service industry worker. Fully Committed (2000), written by Becky Mode and Mark Setlock, is a hilarious tale about the reservationist at Manhattan's Hottest Restaurant, dealing with a peanut gallery of customers. 40 distinct characters, one actor, and 90 minutes of fun.
Jake Shipley is a New York City native, who has been developing this one man show since March. His most recent work includes Barefoot In The Park (Paul), Little Mermaid the Musical (Prince Eric), and True West (Director). Jake is currently working as the Associate Creative Director for the Maude Adams Theater Hub in Hunter, NY. Jake has previously worked at restaurants not disimilar to the one depicted in Fully Committed, so the idea of revisiting that part of his life was...exciting? Traumatic? No, we'll go with 'exciting'. He is incredibly proud of the work he has done, and he'd love for you to join us for a drink and a show at the Triad Theater in New York.
Michael Koegel (Director) holds an MFA in Directing from the University of Pittsburgh and has directed productions in professional, collegiate, and community theaters across the Mid-Atlantic. He has also worked in television as a producer, writer, and casting director for networks including Nickelodeon, FX, and PBS. Most recently, Michael served as Artistic Director of the Phoenicia Playhouse, where he directed more than twenty productions during his tenure, including Our Town, Boeing Boeing, Prelude to a Kiss, Marjorie Prime, Sylvia, and Moon Over Buffalo.
