Welcome to Fullerwood Qigong in the Park! Join us for a relaxing and rejuvenating Qigong session amidst the beautiful surroundings of Fullerwood Park. Connect with nature, improve your breathing, balance and flexibility, while experiencing a sense of inner peace. Our experienced instructor, Dr. Mindy Jaques, AP, DOM, of Healing Water Clinic will guide you through gentle movements and breathing exercises to help you harmonize your mind, body, and spirit. Whether you're a beginner or experienced practitioner, all are welcome to participate in this outdoor event. Come and enjoy the benefits of Qigong in the fresh air and sunshine! Occuring twice a month on Saturday mornings. (Weather depending... it is Florida afterall... and we meet for discussion of the medical qigong principles at DOS coffee shop across the street, if the weather does not permit outdoor activity), usally 8 am through Summer. 9 am come September BUT always check the schedule for times and dates. . Dr. Mindy has decades of experience in qigong and the internal meditative arts. She is a practicing acupuncture physician, licensed herbalist, and doctor of oriental medicine here in St. Augustine at Home - Healing Waters Clinic & Herb Shop
Tips: Please wear loose comfy clothes, flat soft soled shoes, and bring hydration and bug spray as needed, bring a yoga mat or folding chair, and a towel. Please let Dr. Mindy know if you have any medical concerns and she will work with you to adjust the activities accordingly.
SPECIAL NOTE: If weather does not permit outdoor activites, the class will meet at DOS coffee shop just around the corner, at 300 San Marco , st. Augustine, for an indoor discussion of the medical principles, theory and philosophy of qigong. So bring your coffee or tea money, though the water is free! If you show up at the park at 9 and noone is there, head over to DOS.

Frequently asked questions
No there is no cost or fee. Dr. Jaques will accept donations as participants are able or willing.
Yes, if children are well behaved. Generally however, young children have a challenging time finding the patience for the slow movements of Qigong and Tai Chi and could be a distraction to the group.
Yes, barring weather events, it will be held Saturdays, at Fullerwood Park on Hildreth at 8 am for summer and 9 am once September starts, at a frequency of twice a month, except for November and December, when it will be held once each month. The dates are all listed here on the EventBrite page.
It is best to leave pets at home for the hour of this event.
Loose comfortable weather-appropriate clothing and flat soft soled shoes. Bring hydrating beverages such as water or electrolyte drinks. Bring sunscreen and bug spray if needed. Bring yoga mats and/or towels, and a chair if needed.
