Join The Calgary Social Captial Society for a scenic and refreshing hike on the beautiful Fullerton Loop Trail, located just off Highway 66 in Kananaskis Country. This 6.6 km loop offers a moderate challenge with well-marked paths that wind through serene forests and open ridgelines.
The trail features a mix of gradual inclines, rocky sections, and a few steeper spots with a total elevation gain of around 200 meters, it is rated moderate for certain sections but is still appropriate for a less experienced hiker.
We will be meeting at the Elbow Valley Visitor Information center before going to the trail head. A park pass is needed to enter the park farther than the visitor center, they are available for purchase on site.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable event, please come prepared! Sturdy hiking shoes or boots with good grip are essential. Pack plenty of water, high-energy snacks, a daypack with extra layers, a rain jacket (weather in the mountains can change quickly), and sunscreen. Other hiking essentials include a small first aid kit, hat, sunglasses, bear spray, and a fully charged phone or GPS device.
Weather conditions can vary, so check the forecast beforehand and dress accordingly.
We look forward to hitting the trail with you!
