Join us for a full moon and exploring tide pools at night at Constellation Park! Not only is January 3rd a Full Moon, it’s also a king tide weekend. A king tide is an exceptionally high tide that occurs alongside an unusually low tide, resulting from the gravitational alignment of the sun and moon. This combined gravitational pull creates the largest tidal range of the year, leading to both extreme high and low tides. Low tide is around 10:30pm that night so we will be meeting up at Constellation Park at 9p and depart to explore the tide pools by 9:15p. Headlamps and rain boots/water protective boots will be needed for this excursion.
