Curious about the wide range of career paths in dietetics? Join NEP for an engaging networking event where dietetics professionals share their journeys and specialties. Learn what it really means to work in areas like food service as a CDM, oncology as a CSO, pediatrics as a CSP, and more. You’ll get first-hand insight into the diverse roles that Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) hold, discover how they got there, and have the chance to ask your own questions. Whether you’re just starting your nutrition studies or looking ahead to specialization, this session will help you see the possibilities behind the RDN credential.

Jan 29 – RDN Exam 101: What to Expect and How to Prep

The RDN exam can feel overwhelming—but it doesn’t have to be! This session brings together exam experts, RDs who have successfully passed the exam, and representatives from exam prep companies to give you the inside scoop on what to expect and how to prepare. You’ll hear strategies for studying, managing test-day nerves, and building confidence, along with recommendations on the best study tools and resources. Bring your questions and leave with a clearer roadmap to success on the exam. Zoom Link: https://berkeley.zoom.us/meeting/register/hgwZxLGnSyiCw57yvVmmEA#/registration

Applying to dietetic internships (DIs) feels like a competitive step in becoming an RDN. In this interactive networking session, NEP brings together DI directors from both university-based and stand-alone programs, along with recent interns, to share advice on navigating the application process. Learn how to choose programs that fit your goals, what the DICAS application requires, and what DI programs expect from applicants. You’ll also hear first-hand stories about what the internship experience is really like and gain strategies to make your application stand out. Whether you’re applying this cycle or planning ahead, this event will give you practical tools and insider knowledge to move forward with confidence.
