To SQL or to NoSQL that is the question:

Whether it’s better to have your data arranged

Datum to datum as is related in real life,

Or to disregard all manners of consistency

And lay them in documents. Sometimes typeless, structureless,

No safety; and by this methodology to say we end

The slow-ness and the thousand second queries

That relations inherit: This is what is devoutly wished

By cloud code writers. To write code, to not worry;

To not worry about performance -- as if by dream:

For in that dream we see Documents and Graphs;

Then we see the sheer speed of some key-value pairs,

Must give us pause, some respect for these types,

That makes the calamity of a spaghetti soup of code.

For who would bear the weight of the decision to

Drop the relational database for the infant of a new system.

The sheer smooth, albeit slow workings of the timeless machine,

The test of time, the clockwork mechanics

Of an old relational system.

But there are other times to use SQL too,

And they must not be lost in the decision

Making process.

So join us on February 6th, with Oren Eini

With more than 20 years of

Experience in the world of

Software development,

As he takes us on a dive

So that we'll know when to SQL and when to NoSQL.

Networking, Food, and Drinks at Six Thirty Post Meridiem

With the Talk starting at Six Forty Five.

Organized by FrumDevs, in partnership with the OU.
