Join the National Park Service and Bike New York for a scenic and story-filled bike tour of interpretive talks, through Staten Island’s coastal past! Starting at Fort Wadsworth, we’ll pedal through centuries of military history — from the towering stone walls of Fort Tompkins to the harbor-facing artillery of Battery Weed, and onward to the wide-open skies of Miller Field, once an active military airfield.
This family-friendly guided ride blends fresh air, waterfront views, and powerful stories that shaped New York Harbor’s defense. Along the way, we’ll make stops for short photo ops and a restroom break along the boardwalk.
Come ride the route where cannons once stood, history still echoes, and wings once soared.
