How to get there

The concept of "graduation programs" that purposefully integrate various services and supports to reach the most vulnerable households and provide them a guided pathway out of extreme poverty has gained traction and increased attention in recent years. Often thought of as linked to microfinance and economic strengthening of ultra-poor households, various graduation modeled programs have been applied to a wider range of vulnerabilities including HIV/AIDS. This event will be a first-of-its kind occasion to discuss graduation models as applied to health and orphans and vulnerable children programming context.

Join a vibrant community of practitioners, donors and researchers to hear about two exciting programs-- the SCORE project implemented by AVSI in Uganda, and the FXB Village Model from Rwanda-- and help us to clarify the graduation concept and how it is being used, and generate an agenda for action and further research.
