About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Are you a teaching artist looking to expand your impact and professional opportunities? This workshop provides a structured approach to developing educational and entertaining "Edutainment" programming for schools, nonprofits, and cultural organizations. You’ll learn how to design engaging, standards-aligned curricula that highlights your artistic expertise while meeting the needs of educators and program directors.

You’ll learn how to:

  1. Translate performance skills into dynamic workshops and residencies
  2. Align lesson plans with educational standards and funding priorities
  3. Structure programs for diverse audiences, venues and schedules
  4. Price programs and pitch them to schools, nonprofits and cultural spaces
  5. Build lasting partnerships with schools and organizations in the community

Whether you’re a visual artist, musician, dancer, poet, actor, or multidisciplinary artist, this session will give you tools to create a curriculum that sells. Bring your ideas, and let’s make a plan to get you in the room and paid for your expertise!

Interested in learning even more? Join Bartol Foundation on May 14 from 5:30pm-7pm to get to know Young Audiences of New Jersey and Eastern PA. Young Audiences Artist Services Manager, Summer Dawn, takes a deep dive into YA model for bringing arts education into schools.
