Quite a range of wines on the tasting table this Saturday from noon-4pm. If you’re looking for daily drinkers, we’ve got you covered with a fruit-filled Languedoc Chardonnay and wild Piemonte red blend priced to pop and pour anytime. And if you’re after something worthy of a bit of attention and good food, a luscious white Burgundy, intense Tuscan Sangiovese and classic Moulin-a-Vent Beaujolais should do the trick! Come by from noon-4pm and try:
Cellier Des Demoiselles Chardonnay Pay d'Oc 2024 – Just exactly what Languedoc Chardonnay should be: full of fruit, a touch of palate-cleansing bite, and a whale of a value!
Dom Maurice Martin Macon-Peronne Les Gentillehommes 2024 – Chardonnay from its Burgundy homeland that delivers a wonderful step up in richness and minerality and is still priced to enjoy anytime!
Podere Ruggeri Corsini Langhe Rosso Matot 2022 – Plenty of “serious” wines in Italy’s Langhe region, but this blend of Dolcetto plus splashes of Nebbiolo, Barbera, Albarossa and Pinot Nero isn’t one of them! Pure joy.
Richard Rottiers Moulin-a-Vent Dernier Souffle 2023 – Always plenty of Moulin-a-Vent structure here and, in 2023, a big boatload of ripe fruit. If you think Beaujolais is always “light,” try this!
Tenuta Valdipiatta Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG 2019 – Tuscan Sangiovese turns darker and more earthy in Montepulciano, here adding a delicious touch of oak spice
As always we’ll have a treat from the cheese case out to enjoy with the wines and best savings prices available on a mix/match basis during the tasting. Spend a little of your Saturday sampling some great wines and imagining how you’ll use them to spread a little joy this fall!
