5-6:30 pm, Anamed Auditorium, Istanbul

Two years on, Türkiye and its people continue on their path toward recovery and resilience. Along the way, the international community has lent its compassion and support to local efforts to rebuild lives and communities.

We hope you will meet us to explore the critical role of global-local partnerships in fostering equitable, community-led disaster recovery and long-term resilience. What has worked and what has not? This event brings together international institutions, local leaders, and cross-sector experts to reflect on key challenges in recovery efforts and share lessons that can shape more effective responses to future disasters worldwide.

What We Will Explore

  • The most urgent challenges in building resilience at local and international levels
  • How different sectors – including the private sector as well as universities and other centers of research – can play an effective role
  • The role of international institutions in supporting sustainable, community-level recovery
  • Lessons from Türkiye's experience that can help communities facing similar difficulties around the world

This panel will synthesize insights to shape the next phase of community-centered interventions for recovery and resilience for the Columbia Global Resilience Fund.
