About this event

Film & Media • Film

Hosted jointly by Climate Spring and Green Rider, this event explores how to bring a story from page to screen as green-ly as possible, led by the team behind 2025 Raindance Best UK Short: There Will Come Soft Rains. Directed by BAFTA-nominated filmmaker Elham Ehsas, the film was winner of Climate Spring’s Hot House shorts prize and now boasts no less than 15 award nominations. There Will Come Soft Rains was also one of the first productions to trial the Green Rider, and was made with sustainability in mind, from original idea right through to end product.

A screening of the 15 minute film is followed by a discussion between Elham, the cast, Climate Spring and the Green Rider, to examine how the stories we tell and the way we make those stories can transform how climate change is viewed – from a scientific issue to a personal one.
