From Muskets to Machine Guns: A Day of Reenactment

Join us at Fort DuPont on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM for Muskets to Machine Guns: A Day of Reenactment—a free, family-friendly historical event in Delaware City. Experience living history as Revolutionary War reenactors from the Delaware 1st Regiment and World War II reenactors from the Harbor Defenses of the Delaware Living History Association and Sandy Hook History bring two pivotal eras of American military history to life. Witness live battle demonstrations, explore historic military encampments, and enjoy hands-on educational displays throughout the day.

The event will also feature local food trucks, artisan vendors, and a variety of engaging, family-friendly activities. Whether you’re a history buff, student, or just looking for a unique fall event in Delaware, this is a perfect way to step back in time and explore Delaware’s rich military heritage on the historic Fort DuPont Parade Ground.
