Collage is a powerful art form that blends photos, fabric, paper, and memory, cut, arranged, and glued into something wholly new. Rooted in the French word coller, meaning “to glue,” collage doesn't require formal training—it invites intuition, play, and storytelling.
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore the creative process of making analog collage artworks using your photographic prints. Whether you’re piecing together memory, emotion, or imagination, your final work will reflect the layers of your experience and vision.
No art background needed, just curiosity and a willingness to dive in with your photographs. I’ll guide you through selecting, cutting, and composing a meaningful 8″ x 10″ piece that fuses photography with mixed media.
Materials are provided, including mat boards, scissors, glue, and a bounty of beautiful bits and pieces. Please bring your materials to personalize your work:– Your photographs or images you’d like to use– Small memorabilia– Fabric scraps– Writings: letters, journal pages, notes (originals or photocopies)– or use the material I provide
Come with your hands ready and your heart open. Let’s create something only you could make.
