JOIN US IN PERSON for the second part of the proposal writing workshop!
Master the art of compelling proposal writing with Sannia Laing Sutherland, an accomplished development professional, in this comprehensive workshop delivered through the strategic partnership between the Council of Voluntary Social Services and the European Union. This two-session training builds on CVSS's proven track record of successfully facilitating grant proposal writing workshops for over 40 civil society organisations through EU funding.
As former Programme Coordinator for the Caribbean Vulnerable Communities Coalition (CVC), Sutherland has successfully secured and managed significant funding from major donors including the European Union and Open Society Foundations. Her expertise spans human rights advocacy, health program development, and capacity building for marginalized communities across the Caribbean region.
This workshop is part of the AIM initiative, funded by the EU through the 13th European Development Fund, which enables CVSS to fulfill its original mandate to create a local culture of volunteering and ensure it is recognized as a vital tool for creating a more sustainable, fair and peaceful Jamaica. The EU's support reflects their commitment to CSOs as key partners in devising and implementing policies that meet people's needs and reduce inequalities. Participants will benefit from Sutherland's hands-on experience in addressing complex social issues through strategic proposal development, enhanced by CVSS's institutional knowledge and the EU's recognition of civil society as essential development partners.
