From Foundation to Flight
Overview
Join Rhi in this technical Vinyasa workshop to learn how directional force, joint stacking and muscular engagement enhance flow and prevent strain. Come and explore how helpful alignment cues in both horizontal and vertical postures creates the stability needed for ‘lightness’ in certain poses, transitions and arm balances. Build confidence and strength through functional alignment, breath flow and mindful progression - on and off the mat.
What students will gain:
•Stronger foundations in standing and grounded shapes (eg. Chaturanga, Half Moon, Headstand variations, Revolved Pyramid, Crow Pose)
•Techniques, tips and tricks for maintaining alignment through movement
•Tools for safely approaching inversions, arm balances and dynamic transitions
•Better understanding of weight distribution and core integration
Awareness of alignment in all anatomical planes
•Greater efficiency and power in Vinyasa transitions
•Improved balance and understanding in both vertical and horizontal shapes
