About this event

In this webinar, Seth Tyra, Suicide Prevention Commission Coordinator with Colorado’s Office of Suicide Prevention, will share how statewide suicide prevention efforts are guided by both data and lived experience. The Suicide Prevention Commission brings together diverse perspectives to develop inclusive, evidence-based recommendations that strengthen prevention across communities. Tyra also works closely with Coroners and Medical Examiners to implement the Suicide Death Investigation Form, a tool designed to improve understanding of suicide deaths and inform strategies that save lives. This commitment is driven by a personal connection, honoring the memory of Tyra’s father, Steve, who died by suicide in 2004, and reflects the shared responsibility of professionals, families, and communities in preventing future losses.
