Be a part of making history for the better! This multidisciplinary showcase honours Mandela’s legacy on the anniversary of his passing; a day symbolising courage, unity and the triumph of the human spirit. We salute conquerors of abuse and reignite the dream future that our heroes, including Sudirman embodied.

“Healing often begins with breaking the silence,” says Nina Alexia Brazzo, Chairperson of Rahasia Mafiusa NPO. “This event is about transforming pain into power. Using art as a universal language to heal, educate and unite communities across borders.”

Born from the personal journey of the organisation’s founder, who marked her escape from abuse as a moment of rebirth, From Darkness to Light has evolved into a global movement of survivors and allies. “Reinventing the Past” highlights how we can collectively reclaim our stories, heal generational wounds and stand up against violence in all forms.

As a collective we are yearning for healing; for our family, our communities, our society as a whole. To do this we nurture the unveiling of secrets in safe environments so that the sickness leaves our body, gradually we nurture that voice and educate ourselves so we can stand up for one another.

Meet the light bearers from South Africa, Indonesia, Zambia and UK. From Darkness To Light Warriors, are those that speak up for truth with wisdom, remain positive, steadfast, seek gratitude and see the blessings standing firm in mutual support. We salute one another to light, goodness and truth.

Join us with positively healing vibes in this powerful celebration of resilience, unity and creative activism. Together we can move from darkness to light! We will take on the true underlying issues we are facing for reconciliation through this showcase. A compelling line up of diverse stories on finding true self and the light within to shine after abuse with marginalised voices for transformation across cultures and genders. Each creative expression is a powerful tool for healing and reconciliation with their past. When we come together through our diversity we find strength, power and unity to face challenges as one humanity!

Be with us in our gratitude of healing and continual self-development!
