About this event

This is a two-part course on consecutive Fridays. Participants should try to attend both Fridays. The Friday sessions are scheduled for high school stidentds and college students, but young adults are also welcome to attend if Sundays don't work.

We have limited time in our daily lives to budget for service work. Do you:

Wonder why you volunteer? Or, why there are volunteer requirements sometimes imposed by schools?

Worry that you say yes to the first service opportunity that comes your way, whether or not it’s right for you?

Want to learn to say no to some opportunities that don’t fit you, but you feel pressured by friends or family to say yes?

Wish you didn’t wait until the last minute to sign up for opportunities?

Sometimes feel at a loss to know what to volunteer for?

Wish you knew how to figure out what’s out there and what’s right for you?

Wish you were better at making decisions about your service, the way you decide other things in your life?

Want to look for more meaningful volunteering opportunities to shape your life and your thinking about who you are?

In this two-part forum, we’ll discuss these and other questions.
