As the back-to-school season ramps up, busy weeknights and packed schedules can make it hard to get dinner on the table. Between homework, after-school activities, and everything in between, finding time to prepare healthy, budget-friendly meals can feel impossible. Freezer meals can be a game changer—just pop one into the crockpot or pressure cooker, and dinner is done!
Join us for a fun and practical evening of prepping freezer meals to help make your weeknights easier. We’ll share tips on planning, budgeting, and what freezes well, all while assembling four delicious meals for you to take home and stash in your freezer—ready to go when you need them most.
When: 6:30pm-8:00pm Tuesday, August 26, 2025
What: Freezer meal class where each participant will prepare and take home four different freezer meals that will feed 4-6 people. (If you would like enough food for more than 4-6 people, please sign up for two tickets.) The meals will include Hawaiian Pork Chops, Red Pepper Chicken, Quinoa Burrito Bowl, and Zuppa Toscana Soup.
Who: This class is for anyone who is 18 years old or older looking for fast and easy healthy meals for the family.
Where: USU Extension Office in Washington County (at the Washington County fairgrounds)
Why: To stretch your grocery budget, make sure your family eats well even on the busiest nights, and connect with others in your community who are juggling the same daily hustle!
Cost: The fee of $50 includes all supplies. You just need to bring an ice chest or bag to transport your finished meals.
