We’re thrilled to announce something truly special and incredibly unique that we’re opening to our community, a behind-the-scenes, hands-on experience with our Freedom Ranch Labs puppies during their most critical stages of development.
At Freedom Ranch Labs, every litter we raise goes through a series of carefully structured exercises that help shape confident, stable, and well-rounded dogs. These early days — from 2 to 8 weeks old — are the foundation of everything that follows in a puppy’s life. It’s during this period that their brains, bodies, and senses begin forming lifelong associations with the world around them. That’s where Freedom Foundations: The Puppy Development Workshop comes in.
Each week will focus on a new phase of puppy growth, evolving as the puppies do. From the earliest stages of handling and body positioning to the introduction of textures, sounds, temperature changes, and environmental enrichment, every class is tailored to the developmental milestones of that week’s litter.
In these small, intimate classes (limited to just 9 participants per session), you’ll get to experience and participate in the exact Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and early desensitization exercises that we use in our program. Krys Ruth the CEO of AmericanK9, LLC will be the instructor teaching these classes. Krys has over 20 years of experience whelping litters and raising amazing working dogs. This is the first time she has ever opened this opportunity to the public. These are the same proven methods used by top working-dog and service-dog organizations worldwide, techniques that help create confident, calm, and emotionally grounded dogs.
What You’ll Learn & Experience:
Proper body positioning & handling – how to safely and gently support a young puppy
Desensitization to touch – paws, ears, tails, and more for early confidence building
Temperature and texture changes – introducing mild new sensations safely
Exposure to new sights & sounds – building comfort and curiosity in a safe way
The “why” behind every step – how early experiences shape temperament, trust, and resilience for life
Each class is one hour long, held once per week, and led by our experienced team here at Freedom Ranch Labs. This is a fully hands-on, educational experience, participants will be sitting on the floor, directly interacting with our puppies under supervision and guidance.

- These workshops feature our current Freedom Ranch Labs litters only.
- Not open to outside puppies: ensuring the safety, consistency, and health of all participants.
- Open to ages 12+ years and up (if under 16 years old you must have an adult present).
- Cost: $20 per person. If an adult is attending with a child, the adult will not be charged.
