Free Yaakub Open Mic Fundraiser - Houston

Join us for an Open Mic night to fundraise for Jacob "Yaakub" Azurin Vijandre—a Dallas photojournalist, Filipino activist for Palestinian liberation, and beloved member of the Muslim community.

During the Open Mic, hear from Yaakub himself as we recite notes he has shared with us while in detention. A letter writing station will be available to write letters to Yaakub that will be mailed to him.

Suggested Donation: $20.00 (or pay what you are able)

• 5:30-7:30 pm: Open Mic + Notes FROM Yaakub

Open Mic sign-up starts at 5pm.

All ticket proceeds go to Yaakub's family to pay for legal and ancillary fees incurred while he is in detention.
