Join us for a free in-person info session to explore how you can become part of the Vizcaya Teen Environmental Council (VTEC)—a teen-led leadership program designed for creative minds and future changemakers.
What is VTEC?
The Vizcaya Teen Environmental Council (VTEC) is a teen-led leadership program focused on urban agriculture, environmental sustainability, and community impact. This is more than a leadership opportunity—it’s a movement powered by teens like you.
As a VTEC member, you will:
- 🌻 Grow your own food and master sustainable farming techniques
- ♻️ Design and lead environmental programs for your community
- 🌍 Connect with your community through hands-on projects
- 🌟 Build leadership skills that prepare you for college and beyond
- 💵 Receive a monthly stipend and earn service hours
✅ Why Attend This Info Session?
This session is required for all applicants to the 2025–2026 VTEC cohort. Here's what you’ll get:
- A complete overview of the program
- A chance to ask questions and meet Vizcaya staff
- Guidance on how to apply
- A first look at the projects and impact ahead
Sessions will be hosted in the Mechanic Shop at Vizcaya Village, near the Garage and public restrooms.
QUALIFICATIONS | To apply, you must:
- Be a 10th-, 11th-, or 12th-grade student during the 2025–2026 school year.
- Complete an online application and attend one (1) virtual or in-person informational session. Attend each meeting.
- Meetings will occur every other Thursday from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m., September through March.
