Get ready for stand-up comedy performance where anything can happen! The only rule at The FUN Mic™ is you must have fun. Free live entertainment in the heart of Brooklyn in Park Slope (South Slope) perfectly paired with cheap drinks and great food (NO drink minimums of any kind but please support the bar for giving us the space to run this show).

At The FUN Mic™, comedians really go for it and share their craziest ideas in hopes of making us laugh. Some jokes are not for the faint of heart, but the unpredictability of it all is what makes the night exciting. Trust me, after hosting the mic for years, I'm still shocked at what some comics say in front of an audience. Things that will never be repeated after that night...

You might see someone who's been crushing the NYC comedy scene for the past decade try bits they're too scared to do at The Cellar. Or you might see someone overcome their fears and do their 1st open mic and say all the terrible things they wish they could say to their boss's face. The night is full of surprises and you're in for a wild ride.

To keep the show fun for the audience and performers, please try to be courteous. Though we love getting wild, the performance works best without unnecessary distractions. If this is your first time at a comedy show at Freddy's Bar, please keep in mind the rules below:

1. Make sure your phones are on silent throughout the show. Keep conversations to a minimum but feel free to respond to comics who engage you.

2. Only use the swinging doors in the back of the room to enter and exit (by the kitchen area). The door by the stage should never be used during the show.

3. The show is free and the comics/host make no money performing. Please help support the venue by buying a drink to ensure we can keep the show running (I assure you I make $0 every night I host and do it for the love of comedy).

4. No video recording (boomerangs are ok). Material you see may not be ready to be presented to the public or the comic may want to share a recording themselves. In either case, what happens at The FUN Mic™ stays at The FUN Mic™. If you want your friends to experience all the ruckus, the best way to do it is to come watch it live!

5. If you like a comic, feel free to ask for their social media handles AFTER the show (follow Alex the host on IG where he'll post all the comics' info in his stories)
