Register to attend one or all of the “Learn to Certify” Business Technology Sessions, a free workshop series sponsored by the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors and presented in collaboration with the CalAsian Chamber of Commerce and Comm Ops LLC.
Designed for small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs, the seminars equip participants with essential tools and resources to navigate the processes of business registration, certification, and preparation for bidding opportunities.

Did you know key certifications recognized in the state of California have no application fees? These include certifications for being a small business as well as for being minority-, veteran- and/or women-owned.
These certifications can:
• Unlock access to set-aside contracts with federal, state, and local agencies.

This is a hands-on workshop, so we recommend bringing a laptop to fully participate. Free Wi-Fi will be available. While a laptop is not required, bringing at least a smartphone is strongly recommended.

While you are welcome to attend any individual session, we highly recommend attending all available to gain the full benefits of the program and ensure you’re fully prepared to complete the certification process. We also recommend scheduling one on one if needed.
No, this workshop is also open to participants who are thinking about starting a business, as well as established small business owners. If you’re just starting out, we’ll cover the foundational steps for registering and structuring your business.
Yes, optional one-on-one consultations will be available to address specific challenges or questions about your certification process.
Yes, you are welcome to bring a guest or business partner, but they must register separately to ensure we have enough space and materials for all attendees.
