Community Impact Week 2025: Health Equity & Literacy

November 17–20, 2025 | Parkway Central Library, 1901 Vine Street, Philadelphia, PA

The Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation invites local organizations, wellness providers, and community partners to take part in Community Impact Week 2025, a four-day series of activations celebrating health equity and literacy across Philadelphia.

Each day highlights a different aspect of community well-being through live demonstrations, educational resources, and vendor engagement in the Parkway Central Library’s atrium and event spaces.

📅 Schedule Overview

• Monday, November 17 – Opening Day: The Power of Health Literacy (3PM–6PM)
  Launch the week with a health literacy and resource fair featuring free health screenings, community health sign-ups, and opening remarks by a public health expert.
• Tuesday, November 18 – Nutrition & Healthy Living Day 1 (3PM–6PM)
  Celebrate community gardening, nutrition, and holistic wellness with local farms, garden organizations, and interactive workshops on sustainable living, plant care, and food access.
• Wednesday, November 19 – Nutrition & Healthy Living Day 2 (3PM–6PM)
  Join us for the “Eat Well, Live Well” Nutrition & Wellness Expo, including live cooking demonstrations, resource vendors, and wellness activities focused on practical, affordable healthy living.
• Thursday, November 20 – Mental Health & Wellness (3PM–6PM)
  A day dedicated to mental and emotional well-being featuring mindfulness and yoga sessions, stress management workshops, and mental health resource distribution.

Vendor Opportunities:
Participating organizations are invited to host an information table, interactive demonstration, or resource activation aligned with each day’s theme. Vendors will engage directly with community members in support of health equity and literacy throughout the week. Vendors are welcome to register for more than one day.
