Beginning your web development journey can sometimes be a little intimidating. That is why Galvanize has created a self-paced JavaScript fundamentals online course with over 30 hours of content, exercises, and projects. In our effort to support your learning journey, every Tuesday, there will be in-person study halls* with Galvanize instructional staff to go over your questions from the week. JavaScript is the language of the web, and the skills you will learn through this curriculum are in high demand for future developers, designers, and marketers.

What You’ll Learn:

By the end of this workshop, you will learn:

• How to program efficiently in JavaScript using: variables, arrays, objects, etc.

• Working with loops and evaluating conditions

• Working with functions to create complex code

*Attendance of at least one study hall is required in order to get started. The date you select when you register is the date of orientation. If you are unable to get to our Austin location, please register and then let us know that you will need to be remote via the email below.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Students must be at least 18. If they are under the age of 18, they must have written consent from a parent/guardian. Contact scott.good@galvanize.com for more info.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is street parking nearby, and the garage on Nueces in the Northshore Building, where we're located, is only $5 if you park after 6 pm.

What can I bring into the event?

If the course is online, why do I need to come to campus?

We prefer to do orientations in person to make sure you are set up for success in the course. If you are not in Austin or will not be able to make it to campus for the forseeable future, please contact scott.good@galvanize.com in order to seek accomodation.
