About this event

This is an exciting combination ballet and jazz class! Ages 6-12.

Children will learn fun stretches, ballet basics and jazz fundamentals! Students will have the chance to learn ballet barre combinations and the foundations of classical ballet with a professional ballerina with the San Diego Ballet. This is an upbeat class that always includes a theatrical dance that kids can learn from start to finish!

There are also many opportunities to perform in recitals and community festivals throughout the year!

Are Classes Free?

Yes! All classes are FREE!

How do I sign up?

Reserve a ticket on Eventbrite and when you arrive at your first class you can fill out a registration form before class begins.

What should my child wear?

Students should wear comfortable clothing they can move in! Leotard and tights are encouraged for girls. Pants and a T-shirt are encouraged for boys. Ballet shoes are recommended for all dancers but students may wear socks for their first classes.

Can parents/ guardians stay and watch class?

Yes! Parents and Guardians may stay and watch class. Photos are not permitted and we ask that all adults keep their cell phones on silence and remain quite as to not distract the dancers.

Are there breaks?

Yes, dancers will get a short break so please bring a snack and water!

How old does my child need to be?

Youth Ballet/ Jazz class is for ages 6-12. No students under 6 will be admitted to class.
