Organized by

New Hope Home is the dream of the late Rev. N.J. Kirkpatrick, Sr. With the help of many church members, friends and HUD (Housing and Urban Development), the dream has become a reality.

New Hope Home Inc. was formed as a nonprofit corporation May 14, 1965, with the following members: Rev. Nathaniel J. Kirkpatrick Sr., Will M. Henderson, Leroy J. Saunders, Sr., Hildren Cheatham, Peter Henderson, Julius Henton and Hubert King. The purpose of New Hope Home was to provide low rent housing for senior citizens, where the elderly may live with dignity and self-respect in a safe and clean atmosphere.

In 2021, The board of directors decided to expand their mission and provide resource and financial assistance to the underserved community in areas other than just housing.

In order to achieve this goal and to keep it separated from New Hope Home Inc., it was decided to create a new Nonprofit, namely “Hands of New Hope “.
