FREE CLASS: Beginner Waterbath Canning
Overview
Learn the timeless art of safe waterbath canning!
What you’ll learn:
- Community safe canning practices
- Food self-reliance skills
- Safe canning of high-acid and non-acidic foods
- Proper food preservation techniques
This engaging 1-day on Wednesday, December 17th, 2025 6–8pm will include a full lesson on safe canning methods plus a hands-on tutorial where everyone cans their own jars to take home.
You’ll go home with:
- New skills & confidence in food preservation
- Your own canned goods (jars of half-pint canning jars you fill during class)
- Recipes and resources for future canning

Class Size:
Limited to 12 participants – small group for maximum hands-on time!
Who this class is for:
Youth, women, families, all ages, beginners to advanced – everyone is welcome! No prior canning experience needed.
Supplies & Materials (Provided):
- Half-pint canning jars (IV lids and rings), fruit (peach, sugar, frozen orange juice concentrate) will be provided by the instructor.
- Bring an apron and a smile! All other tools and equipment supplied.
