Free Book Day™ at Shelf Life

The next Free Book day™ is Saturday, August 23rd from 10 am to 6 pmHundreds of books will be shelved free for the taking!

This is a great opportunity to expand your home library, fill your Little Free Library, stock the cases at facilities that offer books for residents, patients and guests!

All genres, reading levels and age ranges!

No limit on what can be taken- however spatial awareness and common courtesy are kindly expected.

Please bring your own bags or boxes! Reusable bags are available for $1 (plus tax) please bring cash for purchases* under $5, Venmo is accepted at $5 or more, credit/debit at $10 or more.

These books are meant to be free to the general public- they are not however meant for resell. Resellers are asked to leave these books for those who are there for no-cost reading. Scanning books is prohibited.

Important notes on the store:

• Shelf Life is a small store with a low capacity, and there may be a wait to get in during the times that foot traffic is high. Please leave enough time for an anticipated wait to enter.
• There is only one entrance, on Front Street, with stairs to and from the store. There is no elevator or other access to Shelf Life.
• Children must remain with the adults they came with at all times.
• Stroller access may be difficult. Shelf Life will not assume liability of any stroller or belongings left anywhere in the building- owner assumes all risk, including theft and/or injury of other patrons.
• Service animals are welcome, no other animals are permitted in the building.

*THE ENTIRE STORE IS NOT FREE. BOOKS WILL STILL BE FOR SALE THAT DAY. EVERYTHING IS VISIBLY MARKED ON CASES DESIGNATED WITH FREE BOOKS VS. BOOKS FOR SALE FOR EASY NAVIGATION.
