Welcome to the Mental Health, Cultural Diversity, and Active Shooting Training!
Join us for a FREE **virtual** event where we will delve into the importance of mental health awareness, cultural diversity, and active shooting training. Ret. LAPD Captain Ann Young, M.A., and Forensic and Organizational Leadership Psychologist Debra Warner, Ph.D., Psy.D., will help you gain valuable insights to navigate these critical topics.
This course examines active shooters and the psychology behind their behavior. It focuses on two perspectives: law enforcement and psychology. Communication techniques, as well as understanding the point of view of the perpetrators and survivors. Diversity and cultural differences are examined by country of origin. Participants will gain an understanding of crisis planning with real-life scenarios through online, real-time instruction.
The course begins 01.10.26 with 4 hours of online instructor interaction. Please note that this course provides 4 CE credits. To receive full credit, real-time attendance for all hours is required. As per APA, partial credit is not available. No exceptions will be granted for missed class time.
