Operation HOPE, the nation's largest Non-Profit focused on the economic empowerment and financial literacy of underserved communities, is proud to partner with the Federal Minority Business Development Agency to offer this 8-week (virtual) course at NO COST, where aspiring entrepreneurs will go through the entire process of starting a small business, from idea to launch.

The Business Training Program is a hands-on curriculum designed to empower aspiring business owners with the tools and skills to successfully navigate the path to small business ownership, combining entrepreneurial training, personal development, access to professional services, and financial advice. You will also develop business skills that will help you start or improve your small business.

The class will guide you through the startup process from the business idea to the launch of your business. The class meets once a week for 8 weeks. Each participant's goal is to complete their own personalized business plan that will be used as the basis for launching your business.

Over the course of 2 weeks, you will learn:

• Evaluation and viability of your business
• Selecting a trade name
• Business Entities
• We'll talk about why some small businesses fail, and the pros/cons of owning a business
• The basics of a business plan
• Advertising/Marketing of your business
• Financing your business
• Credit and access to capital
• Business Presentations

By the end of this course, you will have completed your own business plan!
