Overview

Fiddler/Violinist & Storyteller, regarded as a leading authority on North American fiddle music, an Emmy Award winning writer/producer.

Frank has made numerous appearances on the nationally broadcast American radio series, A Prairie Home Companion, and is included on their anthology recording, PHC Tourists. He is a regular featured performer at numerous festivals and concert performances throughout North America. His major label CD release, Yankee Dreams, was chosen by the Library of Congress for inclusion in their Select List of 25 Recordings of American Folk Music. In 2017 Frank was inducted into the North American Fiddlers's Hall of Fame.

As a storyteller, Frank honed his craft writing, producing, and hosting numerous national and local radio and television programs for presenters including, WGBH in Boston, The Discovery Channel, Maine Public Broadcasting, PRI and NPR. He won numerous awards for his broadcast stories including an Emmy and two Telly Awards, along with seven Emmy nominations. He is the author of five music and story books, and a biography, A Couple of Coffee.
