Framing Memories

Framing Memories

Overview

A special double feature of archive-driven personal films, an evening of art, discussion, and connection.

Framing Memories
November 13 | 5:00 PM
Museum of Photographic Arts, Balboa Park

Join us for an inspiring evening of film and conversation, co-hosted by Medium Photo and APA San Diego (American Photographic Artists). This special event features two compelling documentaries by emerging female filmmakers: A Photographic Memory and Ben Between Africa.

Through intimate storytelling and powerful visuals, both films explore themes of intergenerational connection, identity, and memory, woven through family archives and personal histories.

Thoughtfully curated to spark dialogue and connection within San Diego’s visual storytelling community, this evening invites reflection on the images and narratives that shape who we are.

A special guest moderator will lead a post-screening conversation with the filmmakers, offering deeper insight into their creative journeys and the stories behind the films.
