About This Workshop

We all carry fragments - memories, identities, emotions - that feel scattered or incomplete. What if those pieces held quiet wisdom?

Join author and counsellor Niki Bonfield in a gentle, sensory-aware space inspired by her memoir Fragmented Yet Whole. Through metaphor writing, journaling, collage, and soft reflection, you'll explore how your lived experiences, however fragmented, might reveal pathways to wholeness.

This workshop welcomes depth, softness, curiosity, and those navigating their own stories with compassion. No art experience required, just a willingness to meet yourself gently.

What’s Included

  • A reading from Fragmented Yet Whole
  • Journaling & metaphor-based writing prompts
  • Hands-on collage with tactile materials and quiet space
  • Optional small-group sharing, responsive to group size
  • Personal “Fragment Journal” to take home
  • All art materials and tea provided
  • Optional add-on: Signed copy of Fragmented Yet Whole – $30

Venue Notes

This session will be held in the quiet library space at Coventry Library, Stirling.

  • Lighting cannot be dimmed, but the room is peaceful and well-suited to soft introspection.
  • Sharing formats will adapt to group size—whether in pairs, small circles, or solo reflection.
  • Participation is opt-in at every stage, and sensory comfort is prioritised.

How to Prepare

You don’t need to bring anything—but if you'd like, you may choose to bring:

  • A personal object or image that represents a “fragment” of your story
  • Sunglasses, hat, or other comfort items if lighting sensitivity is a concern
  • Your own journal, if preferred

This isn't just a workshop, it's a gentle invitation to hold space for your story, your pieces, and the quiet ways they connect.
