Overview

This ONLINE eeCourse provides environmental education knowledge, skills & best practices for people teaching EE for all ages and settings.

"Foundations in Teaching Environmental Education" course, also known as EE201, is designed to provide educators with the background knowledge and skills in the sound principles of environmental education. This course was developed collaboratively by experts in the field of environmental education and funded by federal grants. The Minnesota Association for Environmental Education (MAEE) works with other NAAEE state affiliates across the country to provide eeCourses for the eeCredentials program. The eeCredentials program provides online, easy-to-access, and ongoing professional development opportunities for environmental educators through online courses, known as eeCourses. MAEE offers a variety of eeCourses, each of which has a different focus and objective specifically designed for environmental educators. Two online courses are offered each season with a goal of 7 course titles by 2026; working to serve environmental educators attaining eeCredintials by 2026.
