About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

This one-night workshop is open to all ages and movement levels and is especially recommended for first-time or beginner dancers. Rather than jumping straight into choreography, this class focuses on building a strong foundation by understanding the fundamentals of movement in dance.

Using a fun, accessible approach inspired by modern, contemporary, and ballet traditions, we’ll break down posture, balance, and basic dance steps while introducing Laban Movement Principles. The goal is to build confidence, coordination, and body awareness in a supportive environment. No prior dance experience required!

Meet the Instructor:

Brianna is a movement educator with a passion for helping beginners find confidence and creativity through dance. Trained in the Merce Cunningham technique under one of his original company members, she brings a thoughtful, accessible approach to choreography that meets students exactly where they are. With over seven years of experience working with children and adult first-time dancers, Brianna’s classes focus on building a strong foundation in movement — blending body awareness, coordination, and expression from the ground up. Whether you’re new to dance or just returning to it, her patient and empowering teaching style opens the door to movement as a joyful, creative practice.
