Join our Professional Learning Team to earn continuing education credits and support literacy by elevating writing in the science classroom with the FOSS Science Curriculum. In this 4 part community of practice, you will learn how to get started with science notebooks, build connections to writing across domains, and advance student sense-making with next-step-strategies.
The cost includes ten hours of continuing education credits, a certificate of completion, and materials (sent to you!) necessary to engage in the lessons for each session. Our community will meet every two weeks - so you have time to embed what you've learned and then bring examples to build on for the next session.
The Community of Practice Meets: 3pm PST | 4pm MST | 5pm CST | 6pm EST
- September 16th - 1.5 hours focusing on active investigation and notebook foundations
- October 7th - 1.5 hours focusing on making sense of data and language development
- October 28th - 1.5 hours focusing on assessment and next-step strategies
- November 18th - 1.5 hours focusing synthesizing student thinking
We hope you'll join us to learn more about how to take science notebooks to the next level!
Registration closes September 2nd to allow us time to ship your materials.
