The FORWI Workshop is an opportunity to guess at what the future of identity might be, document possible challenges, and then use that info to affect how the future unfolds.

Are we working on a paradigm shift for identity or just tiny incremental changes?

It feels like mobile ID (mDL/mDoc) and digital ID is a huge step forward. It feels like adding digitally signed elements to physical licenses would also be a significant change. But what if our perspective is limited?

What if where we are actually headed for physical and digital IDs is just on the edge of - or beyond - our imaginations?

Also, we are hyperfocused on being able to establish identity - and age - for individuals. It's just as important that individuals are able to verify the identity of businesses and goods.
