Week One - The Family Origins
Dive into the origins of the Trastámara dynasty that was responsible for the creation of Spain and its expansion as a world power.
Week Two- The Tudors & Trastámaras
Shortly after the Battle of Bosworth Field, the Spanish and English courts engaged in negotiations for an alliance that was sealed with the betrothal of the Princes of Wales.
Week Three - Growing up in the War of Granada
During Katherine of Aragon’s childhood, she witnessed her parents’ growing power thanks to their military victories.
Week Four - The Architectural Revolution of Isabel & Fernando
The so-called Catholic Monarchs were the founders of the Spanish monarchy and fostered the introduction of Renaissance and Humanism into the Iberian Peninsula.
Week Five - The Women in the Spanish Renaissance
Isabel I of Castile’s approach to education became a groundbreaking factor for the women in her court, especially her four daughters who would carry on this legacy.
Week Six - The Trip to England & Wedding Festivities
Travel with Katherine and her great entourage in the St James Way, the trip to England, and the magnificent wedding celebrations in London in 1501.
