The Consulate General of Switzerland, in partnership with Zodiac Pictures, Music Box Films, Abramorama and Manifest brings Swiss cinema running for the most prestigious competitions to the Marina Theatre in San Francisco.

Wisdom of Happiness by Barbara Miller and Philippe Delaquis, co-produced by Richard Gere (Switzerland, 2025, 93 min.)

A moving piece featuring His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. The movie includes extraordinary footage of the Nobel Peace Prize winner speaking directly into the camera, which creates a sense of a private audience. The deeply moving cinematic hybrid blends documentary elements highlighting the Dalai Lama’s life with practical advice for navigating today’s challenges and finding inner peace and happiness.

The film is seeking to be shortlisted in the Best Documentary Feature category at the 2026 Academy Awards.
