This class includes the ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification Exam, which is:

Here’s what to know:

  • You’ll schedule your own exam through ProctorU’s platform
  • Exams are proctored live using a webcam and microphone
  • A desktop or laptop computer is required — phones, tablets, and Chromebooks won’t work

Regulatory Requirements:

This course aligns with the 2022 FDA Food Code, which states in Section 2-102.12 that the Person In Charge (PIC) must be a Certified Food Protection Manager — and must be on duty during all hours that food is being prepared or served.

Our course and certification offering is designed to meet this federal standard and provide the knowledge base required of a PIC. It reflects current food safety regulations, best practices, and real-world operational insight.

That said — your local or state jurisdiction may have its own rules (because of course they do). City, county, and state health departments often tack on extra requirements or variations, so it’s always smart to check with your local regulatory authority to make sure you’re checking all the right boxes.
