About FOLC
The Future of Learning Community Fest (FOLC Fest) is Arizona State University's annual conference dedicated to exploring and advancing innovative practices in education. Hosted by the Office of the University Provost, FOLC Fest brings together educators for two days of intellectual engagement and collaboration.
The 2026 conference will be held on February 5th and 6th at The Omni Tempe Hotel at ASU. This year's event features distinguished keynote speakers, including Michael J. Sorrell, President of Paul Quinn College, and Michael M. Crow, President of Arizona State University. Online attendees can look forward to a variety of sessions, including keynote speakers, panel discussions, and presentations, all designed to inspire and inform participants about the future of learning.
A central theme of FOLC Fest is grounded in Changing Futures how we design, test, and scale practices that measurably improve learning and life outcomes for all learners.
ASU Changing Futures asks: How are we (re)designing the future of learning today? We invite proposals that show concrete progress and honest lessons learned—work that centers students, advances equity, leverages evidence, and is ready to replicate or scale within ASU and beyond. We especially welcome efforts that responsibly use technology (including AI), strengthen community partnerships, improve learner belonging and success, and build the workforce and civic capacities Arizona and the world need next, emphasizing character and values in teaching, learning, and research to develop ethical and impactful solutions. The conference offers a platform for sharing insights, strategies, and best practices that align with ASU's commitment to inclusivity and educational excellence.
Whether attending in person or participating remotely, FOLC Fest offers a unique opportunity to engage with forward-thinking professionals and contribute to shaping the future of education.
