Becca and Fiona have over 40 years’ experience as careers professionals, supporting young people in secondary school and higher education navigate their next steps. We have worked in a huge variety of educational settings, state and private secondary schools, FE Colleges, and universities including King’s College London, Leeds, LSE, Queen Mary University of London, SOAS, and Surrey.

Using this experience and expertise, Becca and Fiona will guide you through the process of how to choose a course and university, navigate the UCAS application system and how to tackle the new personal statement.

You will leave with a curated list of resources to support your journey to higher education with confidence.

  • Opportunity to ask Becca and Fiona questions and draw on their expertise and knowledge about university choice and applications.

All under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Who is this event aimed at?

This event is aimed at Year 12 student and their parents/guardians. It is particularly useful for parents and carers, who often don't benefit from information provided by schools.

What if I already know what I want to study?

Not all courses are created equal! Two courses with the same title at different universities can be different in content and the way they are taught. Find out more about how to distinguish what's right for you, and the right questions to ask / factors to consider when choosing.

I'm not sure I want to go to University, will this be useful for me?

We believe that the best decisions are informed ones. Exploring all your options before ruling out any particular route is advisable. This event will help find out more about the pros and cons of university, you will discover how to do your research and what alternative routes are available to you.
